Top Chef and an East Bay Winery
Last night I went to a meeting for the East Bay Vintners’ passport event that will occur Saturday, April 5 (more details to follow). But here’s the fun thing: we met at Periscope Cellars, located in Emeryville in an old submarine repair facility. And I was told in passing that Top Chef season 1 was filmed in the kitchen and at the company next door. How appropriate since the premiere of Top Chef season 4 began last night, with quite a showing from San Francisco.

Yeah, I do too. It was one of those moments where I wanted to get my camera out, but I thought the others at the meeting (most of whom I didn’t know) would think me silly.
