The season 4 premier of Top Chef saw an 11% increase from last year’s season opener and the website hits didn’t fair too bad either.
Anthony Crupi from Mediaweek:
Season four of Bravo’s culinary competition series Top Chef got off to a sizzling start Wednesday night, averaging 2.26 million viewers in the 10 p.m. timeslot, up 11 percent versus last season’s premiere (2.02 million).
Sponsored by Toyota and Glad, Top Chef: Chicago drew 1.48 million adults 18-49, a 5 percent hike over the season three inaugural’s demo average (1.41 million).
Online, BravoTV.com saw double digit gains for Top Chef: Chicago site, whipping up 540,000 page views on Wednesday night, versus the 415,000 views recorded on the night of the Top Chef: Miami premiere (June 13, 2007).
So, what do you think about Top Chef Chicago, thus far? I have to admit that I agree with Chuck from Television Without Pity, “As usual, I’m looking forward to fewer cheftestants; it’s always hard to focus at the beginning with so many people and dishes milling about.”

I’m not surprised. Bravo has done really well producing it’s realityTV contest shows.
As for Top Chef, anyone playing the Last 2 game this season?
