Hmm. I thought classic meant, well, you know, classic.

As one of four books about Hanukkah on the list, it’s the one that I have never heard of. In my life. Have you?

Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblins by Eric A. Kimmel, Trina S. Hyman (Illustrator), and Mayer (Illustrator)

As it turns out, the 1994 book is a Caldecott Book Winner. It’s also quite popular on Jewish feminist sites. Who knew?
