Celebrating Kwanzaa by Diane Hoyt-Goldsmith and Lawrence Migdale (Photographer)

Okay, I’ll admit. I was about to call Encarta on this one. It seemed a little too convenient and maybe PC to have a Kwanzaa book listed as a “holiday classic” – after all, the holiday itself wasn’t even celebrated until 1966, making it a newcomer compared to Eid, Christmas and Hanukkah.

But egg on my face. Amazon.com reports that it is the 26th most popular holiday children’s book this year. So shame on me.
