Toyota Benefits Much From Solar Power

The Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc. has been using solar power for its large offices and this is because the operation manager for the mentioned facilities, Mark Yamauchi, is a firm believer in the kind of power and savings that solar power can bring. Back in 2003, the company had a 536-kW system installed which gives 20% of the needs of the facilities for power.

Yamauchi did share that by using solar power, Toyota has been able to save up much on electricity costs. Although they are still in the period when the company is still getting back what they spent on the solar panel system, Toyota has certainly been seeing lowered expenses on electricity.

Although solar panels may not last forever, Yamauchi says that Toyota would be benefitting from these panels for at least 25 years and that means tons more in savings. And throughout the years of using solar panels, maintenance is quite easy. Just a little washing once every year is needed at most.
