My search for amazing scrapbook rooms did not disappoint. I found Tracie Claiborne’s craft room and all I want to do is come over and play with her! Haha
Tracie says about her area:
I claimed one corner wall of my Den and it is perfect. Over time, I have taken over more of the Den but I really and truly only need one wall. I bought Target cubes and Store In Style cubes (far left) but any desk would be fine. I don’t think you need a lot of drawer space because it’s better to keep things out where you can see them.
More photos of her room after the jump:

Paper:
Vertical storage works best.
I have a Store-In-Style drawer that holds a LOT of 12×12 paper.
I store it upright, without file folders but with tabbed dividers by Cropper Hopper.
You can get way more in there without the folders.

Paper Embellishments:
This means stickers, die cuts, letter stickers, chipboard letters in a flat package, etc.
I have these stored in envelopes that I received for letting Cropper Hopper use pictures of my scrap area in a CKU class.
You can get them at Hobby Lobby and they frequently run a 40% coupon or have them on sale.
I have them divided by topic and season. This could also be done with simple file tabs, made out of 12×12 cardstock and stick-on tabs. I have all of these files in a wood bin I got at Target. Similar ones still available.

Small embellishments:
I have two systems for those.
First, I have 20 plastic jars that have things like chipboard pieces/letters, ghost shapes, buttons, metal pieces, felt embellies, etc.
I got them for free (long story) but you can buy small jars at a dollar store.
Think canning jars.
My Mom got some short, squatty ones and I think someone showed me some from a hardware store lately.
They would be super cute for this but you need an area you can display them in. I find that if I keep things out where I can see them, I am more likely to use them.

Cardstock storage:
I have a separate wood box that I keep cardstock in, just standing up, sorted by color.
I have a plastic divided organizer for my scraps that sits by my feet.
(See it there, on the right in the picture?)
I throw away small scraps but put large ones in there, divided by color.

I love your area. it’s so organized. I’m definitely inspired!!
I love your scrapping area, I’m in the process of redoing mine and this will give me some great ideas.
I have been ooohing and ahhing over scrapbook rooms I have found online all weekend. I have a closet that I use as an office/scrap space. I just ordered some custom shelving and drawers, a scrapbook cart for it to make it more functional. I can’t wait to get that all set up.
This is one sweet space. You are so organized. I’m trying to get my stuff in order and change around my area with garage sale and goodwill finds. Thanks for the inspiration.

I absolutely love everything about your room! I am looking for labels similar to the ones on your jars. Do you know where I can get them?

I love your room. I am currently working on a way to organize on small corner of my living room into a craft nook. I think I have found the perfect piece of furniture. It is both beautiful and functional. Check it out at the following website. I will definitely use some of your ideas in my nook. Thanks. Let me know what you think about the furniture.
