Trans-Atlantic Crossing Made Successful Thru Solar Power

Have you ever dreamt of crossing the Atlantic and making a record out of it?

Well, if you did, you may want to keep on finding ways to make that dream come true. But if you were dreaming of being the first one to do a trans-Atlantic crossing with only solar power to help you, then you may have been a wee bit too late.

You see, Martin Vosseler has already done that deed. Vosseler is a Swiss doctor and he was using a motorboat which used solar energy as the source of power. So everything was quite clean and it all ended quite well for the doctor.

Vosseler started out his journey in a Spanish port last December and he arrived just recently in Florida. He was using a vessel that measured 14 meters and holds a roof using solar panels. And with that, Vosseler has been able to complete the crossing with a speed of 10 km. per hour.
