Travel “Green” on Your Family Jaunts

As we travel “around the world” this week, in keeping with the theme at One Book Two Book, we may want to look at “traveling green.” You may be traveling vicarously, planning future travel, or actually traveling.
However, consider:
“Going green,” ” traveling green,” wearing “green”, in fact, anything “green” that helps save the environment has become a very popular word. We teach our children to be conscious of the environment. So a new blog at b5media, Traveling the Green Way should fit right in with current worldwide interests.
Liz Lewis, my co-blogger at Alzheimer’s Notes, now writes this very interesting and informative new blog. About 18 months ago, Liz decided to pursue her dream of becoming a full time writer. She started a blog, My Year of Getting Published, detailing her experiences. After a year, she joined me as co-blogger at Alzheimer’s Notes and has been very enjoyable to work with.
Since then, she also became a co-blogger at Health Bolt, in b5media’s Health and Wellness channel. Now she’s writing Traveling the Green Way, which expands upon her love of travel and travel writing. (See her travel writing blog, Write to Travel.)
Have you been doing any “green” traveling?

I am an active environmentalist and I try to travel green on every trip I take. I love Liz’s blog as well. Another interesting green travel site I actually book my travel through is GreenTravelHub.com (a part of RezHub.com). They offer great information about green hotels and I can even rent a hybrid car.
Thanks, Ann, for stopping by One Book Two Book and for sharing. I’ll have to look up the Green Travel Hub. I’ve been a travel writer for many years and am expanding my Vagabond Traveler column into a “Green” Vagabond Traveler blog (http://greenvagabondtraveler.blogspot.com) since there’s such a growing interest in “green” travel.
