Travel time for my dad

My dad is going out of town for work this weekend, and, I’m vaguely stressed about it.

Yes, he is an adult, and, it’s likely my problem, but, I’m not wild about him driving when it involves students (he’s a teacher), but, there’s not much I can do about it.

I’m also fighting the urge to check his suitcase before he goes. That’s got nothing to do with him being older, it’s got everything to do with the fact that he doesn’t think things through when he packs, as evidenced by our having to go shopping when we went to Michigan last month when my uncle was sick.

I’m also concerned he will try to do too much, since it is a sports event, and, he will be on his feet a lot, and, it will aggravate his back. Again, my own issue, since he is an adult, but, I hope he’ll be an adult who will remember to take some ibuprofen.
