Travelling with Stuffed Animals

Bruiser 39Of all the things you just might overlook when packing for a holiday, don’t let it be a stuffed animal, especially if your little one takes it to bed each night. We found out the hard way when we took Jamie (six) and Britt (four) to England for the first time.

We had a cute little cottage in the country, complete with fields and cows. Neither had ever even heard a cow moo… which was hilarious the first time it mooed at them. But I’m just reminiscing here, I want to point out how important to make sure you pack something warm and fuzzy from home.

We forgot Britt’s teddy and she was devestated! Not only did she have to sleep in a room by herself, she didn’t have her teddy to keep her company. Guess who got the job… for the entire trip. Yes, the two of us shared a room for the entire two weeks.

And we have been best friends ever since! :)

Our cousin (2 1/2 years old) came to spend a couple day over the summer. He had to bring his 4 favorite stuffed animals. Night Night bear, another one that I forget, and two blue Dougs (that’s how he says Dogs). Whenever we moved to a different room in the house, he would have to go retrieve them all one at a time and move them to the new room. Cute stuff.
