Trial for interstitial cystitis treatment found it not effective

A 34-week trial set up by the National Institutes of Health in the United States investigated if the use of the Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) vaccine would help treat interstitial cystitis, found that the vaccine was not any more effective than a placebo.
BCG vaccine is given to prevent tuberculosis.
