Trying to get caught up

I was on vacation last week, and today was my first day back at work.

I’m desperately trying to follow my own advice about decompressing after vacation, but I don’t know how well I’m doing with it.

I left myself way too much work to do at home and at my job and am regretting it now. It’s almost like I didn’t have any time off at all and I just can’t seem to get caught up. I wish I could just be grateful for having the time off, but sometimes I feel it might have been more trouble than it’s worth.

But, then I remember how much fun the kids had, and that they got to spend time with my dad and my husband’s mother, and it was worth it.

However, just remind me to repeat that to myself while I enter a pile of data at work that is as long as my left arm.
