(just kidding – the title should be “You Go Girl!“)
A few years ago, Ricki Lake had an at-home birth with a midwife and she has since self-funded a documentary called “The Business of Being Born.” It seems the American Medical Association feels that the documentary does women a disservice by promoting home births so they issued a resolution that highlights the dangers of home births.
According to the article, Ricki Lake hand-slapped by the American Medical Association over documentary on home births, “Ricki Lake hit back Tuesday, branding the AMA’s move “crazy.” She said her short film aims to ensure that moms-to-be have access to all the facts when choosing where to give birth to their children.”
