Tsk, tsk Ricki Lake

rikkiLake_nc A few years ago, Ricki Lake had an at-home birth with a midwife and she has since self-funded a documentary called “The Business of Being Born.” It seems the American Medical Association feels that the documentary does women a disservice by promoting home births so they issued a resolution that highlights the dangers of home births.

According to the article, Ricki Lake hand-slapped by the American Medical Association over documentary on home births,Ricki Lake hit back Tuesday, branding the AMA’s move “crazy.” She said her short film aims to ensure that moms-to-be have access to all the facts when choosing where to give birth to their children.”
