At the Tucson Convention Center a couple of days ago, the North Exhibition Hall held tons of gadgets and gizmos and other technologies that made use of alternative energy as the power source. In fact, some of the stuff on display included electric cars and solar panels.

That event was part of the Pima Association of Governments’ Alternative Energy Expo and it proved to be quite a success. Plenty of visitors, both newbies and experts, came to learn more and share about alternative energy.

Christina Paige is a professor and she says that she visited the event for one reason, “To bring my science fiction class to the expo to see what’s actually going on with science and changing technology.”

Dennis Dickerson is part of the environmental planning coordinator for Pima and on the event, he shared, “Different kinds of fuels for vehicles, electric vehicles, solar power, wind power, and you can see it right in one place. It’s a great opportunity.”

Indeed it is.
