Tuesday musings

I need some help from those of you who may understand where I’m coming from.
Lately, I’ve been aching a lot more than usual. I’m not sure why as we are mid-winter so the weather isn’t humid and I haven’t been doing anything out of the ordinary. Nevertheless, I hurt.
But, a lot of how much I hurt is inadvertently my fault. For example, when I’m sitting and working but only using one hand – doing mostly work with the mouse or talking on the phone, I tuck my left hand under my right thigh. I don’t know why I do that because every single time, I pull my hand out because it hurts. Or, if I don’t do that, I put my left hand on my right leg, cross my left leg over, and my hand is sandwiched between the two. I also do that when I’m watching TV or reading.
When I’m working, I also find I’m clenching and unclenching my toes – if you can understand what I mean. I cross them over, clench and unclench. Of course, the joints start to ache that much more. When I’m in bed, I find I really bend my wrists to the point that I have to wear a brace for repetitive stress to keep my wrists from getting too sore.
So, how do I break these horrible habits that are hurting me? I wish I knew why I did them – that would make it easier to stop, I think. Any words of wisdom, words of advice before I find a way to hurt all my other joints too?
