TV ‘does not create couch potato children’

Latest research suggests children who spend longer than average in front of the television are just a active as those who do not.

Ok, typically I give into scientific studies because generally they prove something — but doesn’t this sound like a complete contradiction?

I cannot believe that kids, who sit on the couch and ‘have a creative mind’ are just as fit as kids who are up and more active.  It goes against everything we’ve learned in health EVER!

Is science being bought by big business?  Could it be possible that these results are being funded by the likes of Sony or Nintendo?

Now that would make sense!

    yeah. I’m with you.

    that’s bogus.

it might be true to say that “couch potato kids who spend all day watching telly” are no less active than “couch potato kids who spend all day playing computer games or surfing myspace.com”

But it’s not true to say that “couch potato kids who spend all day watching telly” are no less active than “kids who play sports all day”
