TVs in Kids Rooms

After the post Shrek says your kid is fat, Brent left a suggestion saying that keeping televisions out of kids rooms is one way to help keep them active. Out of curiosity, how many of your kids have TVs in their rooms?

  1. I didn’t get a tv in my bedroom until I was in 4th grade. I doubt my son will have one in his room much earlier than that.

    my son has one in his room. Now he’s here on;y every other weekend, buIt’s not the t.v that adds to america’s obesity problem. It’s allowing the tv to be the parent. Monitor what they watch and provide other activities. it’s just that simple.

    bedrooms are for sleeping and playing musical instruments and doing homework. they are not for blobbing in.

    No, no TVs and no computers. Just CD players, instruments and toys.
