Twins: definitely NOT identical

When I was growing up, I knew a set of twins who looked anything but alike. The product of a marriage between a tall blond Dutch man and a much shorter Mexican woman, one twin was tall and blond like her dad, while the other was short and dark like her mom. We never thought twice about this as it seemed perfectly normal to us. After all, they weren’t identical, so we didn’t expect them to look alike.

Little did I know that this type of extreme difference is really not common. And in the case of one couple in the United Kingdom, this happened twice.

You can read here about how a mixed race couple had two sets of twins, all girls, but both sets have on dark one like their dad and one light one like their mother: British Couple Has "Black-and-White Twins" Twice
