Twitchy Lids…WHASUPWIDAT!?

scott-eyes.jpgEver have twitchy eye lids? Ever fear that you may have Parkinson’s or something like that because of it? I was kind of worried a while back because I had constant eye lid twitch every day. It was actually embarrassing. I’d be talking to someone and one would just be twitching away like a tweaker in need of a fix. I did what any sane person does and I tried researching it on the Internet before asking a physician~. I didn’t find much that I can remember and I heard somewhere else that eye lid tremors can be early sign of Parkinson’s disease. Regardless, you’re not alone if you have eye lid twitches. Just about everyone gets them and there really is no cure….well because it’s not a damn disease. They speculate that it is mainly caused by stress and fatigue which I found out shortly after.

So how can you deal with these twitchy lids? Proper rest and stress reducing exercises can help. No, caffeine is not a cure for improper or lack of sleep and it can sometimes make twitching eye lids twitch even worse although there is no proof.

MSN Health states that:

“Some people find that a clean, warm, wet washcloth over the eye helps.”
