Sounds a bit like a riddle, doesn’t it?

Can you figure out what the situation would be? You have two women. Each are pregnant with twins. They deliver 22 hours apart. Yet the babies are quadruplets.

Ok, I’ll give you a hint. It involved in vitro fertilization (IVF). Still wondering?

A lesbian couple had been trying to have children for a few years, without success. They hit on the idea that one of them would donate all the eggs, but that they would both be implanted with the fertilized eggs. It turns out that both of them “took” and both of them carried twins. Because the eggs all came from the same person and the sperm was from the same donor, they are all quadruplets, even though they were carried in two separate wombs and delivered almost a day apart.
