Do you tie your quilts and fabric art in with holidays and unique celebrations?  This can give you many ideas for interesting designs.

For instance, I learned that today, June 7, is Daniel Boone Day when I stopped by Sandy Mitchell’s All Holiday Cafe.  What could you create using this celebration as a springboard for designs?

Pioneers, Daniel Boone, Kentucky, Wilderness Trail, history, coonskin cap, patriotism…these are just a few ideas to inspire a quilt, hanging, fabric art piece, or something in mixed media.

What have you done in quilting that’s connected with an unusual holiday or celebration?

    Thanks for the mention.

  2. You’re very welcome, Sandy. Your unique celebrations at All Holiday Cafe are fascinating and got me thinking about using holidays other than traditional ones to add sparkle our lives.
