Ultrasound may cut down on pain medications needed after surgery

If you have to go for surgery, what is usually one of the biggest worries? If you said, the pain afterwards, you’ll be interested in this story.

Doctors at Ohio State University have been using ultrasound to focus on specific nerves when working on hand and foot surgery, for example. By knowing exactly what nerve to freeze, the use of general anesthetic is reduced to patients who can’t benefit from this procedure.
