Healthy – you’re right. This book isn’t even vegetarian (and doesn’t claim to be). The similarities between it and Skinny Bitch are more in style and attitude, not in the final diet they recommend.

This is the thing, when a product is innovative, high profile and like Skinny Bitch, causes quite a bit of controversy, there’s always a flock of sheep trying to recreate the same thing to cash in on the trend. Just for that reason I won’t bother and spend £ on it. SB was an enjoyable and very educative book, I don’t need pale copies.

This isn’t a vegan book. I checked out the website and they are promoting Loreal products, which, I believe, test on animals.

hmm..... I am pretty dubious based on your review (and the fact that I adored Skinny Bitch but don't really see a need for an entire bookshelf of books trying to be it.) It sounds as if Hot Chick is trying to emulate Skinny bitch in tone and attitude, if not content. Why copy?

I have to say, I also really get irked by folks who say, “I’m a vegetarian. But I eat fish sometimes.” I’ve been a vegetarian for ten years, and my grandmother (who ISN’T senile!) still sometimes asks, “But you eat fish, right?”

Vegetarians, or ANYONE, who comment disparagingly about other people’s food (eew, that smells weird/that looks gross/how can you eat that?) might be even more bothersome.
