Uncle Yip’s, Cincinnati
The new Uncle Yip’s location on Reading Road in Evendale is now open. This was their old place from a few years back, but now they’re occupying the adjacent space as well, doubling the dining area. They are also very pleased that this location has more windows, and therefore more natural light, by the diner’s tables. It looks like they’ve upgraded their lazy susans as well. Everything is bright and clean, with a red wall adding a much needed splash of color. The friendly and accommodating customer service has not changed at all. It’s also only a block away from Cincinnati Asia Market and just next door is Tokyo Foods, so you’re tired and hungry from shopping you can pop by Uncle Yip’s before heading home.

Wow,what a disappointment! We visited Uncle Yip’s just before going to Great Wolf Lodge on Christmas Eve and it wasn’t like it used to be.
Two stir fried dishes, beef stir fried noodles and combo crispy noodles were both bland. Both dishes has about 4 slices of beef, few pieces of veggies, each was $6 or $7. The stir fried noodles didn’t have much oyster sauce on it. The waiter took it back and returned it the same plate with probably some salt sprinkled on it.
Dim sum items were limited but most of what we ordered were good. Not sure about going back there again.
The seafood dishes are great. The scallops are super.
We tried 10 different dishes and they were all incredibly tasty. My children also loved it!
