Do you understand what avian influenza really is? There are so many types of influenza and so many more subtypes within each category, it is somewhat confusing to the average person.
This is one of the best explanations of influenza that I have seen. It breaks down Influenza A, B, and C and explains what each is, where bird flu fits in the equation, and where the risks can be found. It also gets into the specifics of bird flu and what the real issues are for the general public.
This would be a good article to reference when reading other articles in the news about the flu. It will keep you grounded with the information you need to know to stay informed without causing undue panic.
