I’m into vintage (real or faux) stuff at the moment and this upcycled cheese box caught my attention. I actually have something similar that houses our family’s incoming mail and other paper junk!

Don’t you just love it? Here’s the product description from Etsy seller, FruitSaladVintage:
Very Old wooden MEL-O-BIT American cheese box. I have upcycled it using Vintage stamps and have printed the word CHEESE on it.
Shown with some plants inside (not included) for inspiration!
Box measures 9.25″ x 3″.
PASTEURIZED PROCESS CHEESE. Box of course shows wear from age, great for display! You can hang it on the wall if you like with hanger on the back.
You can use it for your indoor plants or for your incoming mail or as a container for your house/car keys that you can place on your kitchen bench or hallway table.

I used to own a restaurant and our high-end Italian and French wines would often come in beautiful wooden boxes, which I used for herb and planter boxes. Now that we have sold the restaurant I visit my local wine shops and ask for the boxes, which they usually give me for free or sometimes for $1 each…..they last for a season and are functional and beautiful in the garden….
