Update on the Adrenal Exhaustion

I know..I have not done an update in awhile.
Blogtoberfest almost got the better of me, between that and Matt starting driver’s ed I almost met myself coming and going…seriously.
:::Note to self..do not schedule Driver’s Ed during Blogtoberfest in the future::::
So, how am I doing?
Well, I am definitely seeing a difference!
I have fingernails for the first time in years. Not soft bendy/peely ones but nice paintable, don’t break too easily nails.
I think my stomach is flatter and I know my waistline is smaller. I have not lost weight but I think I am reshaping.
I have been continuing to take the vitamins and adrenal suplements that the nutritionist recommended..You can read more about those:
Most of all I am sleeping better and staying awake better. My stress level is manageable. We are dealing with the highest stress ever here and yet I have not screamed, thrown up, or melted down. Yay me!
I am trying to be nice to me…trying to think nice thoughts about me, trying to take care of me…
Just fitting me into the equation as part of the equation rather than as an afterthought. I am not anemic anymore, at least I don;t think I am. My ice cravings are gone..oh! and I am not freezing even though it is colder now than it was before!
I am guessing that my metabolism is kicking in.
I am still walking 3 days a week. Nothing intense, just once around the track. The whole point of this is to keep my body from feeling pressured or stressed. It needs time to heal and so do I.
My caffeine intake is down to one or two cups of coffee a day. I didn’t try..it just happened.
I have been eating breakfast more often, although not alot…Usually a piece of toast for breakfast..I haven’t regularly eaten breakfast of any sort since 1971 if that gives you any idea…. Generally my meals were skipped and I would eat dinner a couple of nights a week.
Next up I think I will try to have yogurt or cottage cheese here for me…and use it as breakfast.
The key to this is slowly allowing my body the opportunity to heal. One of the suggestions is a raw food diet but I am not sure I am ready to go that route yet.
I am really happy with the changes I have seen so far.
