In Nevada, the largest solar power plant is now fully functional. This power plant can be found in the Nellis Air Force Base and it sure is bringing in much amount of solar power for this base is located in the desert. So just imagine the kind of sun that the plant is able to convert into usable energy.

According to reports, this power plant was a $100 million investment. But come to think of it, it is worth the investment. The power that would be converted here would be able to give light to a quarter of the whole base. That would not be surprising for the statistics from the base have it that the whole solar plant would be able to generate greater than 30 million kW each year. Now that’s a good amount.

Using the base’s computations, it is furthermore interesting to note that in a year, the whole base would be able to save $1 million in electricity costs. Wow.
