Use Fall Leaves to Decorate the Table

Having a dinner party this fall? You can go all out and spend a lot of money on an expensive tablecloth with a fall theme. Or, you can head out to the backyard and gather a whole armful of fall leaves from the trees to decorate with. (I prefer to pluck leaves from the trees instead of scooping them off the ground because the ones still in the trees are less likely to have insect eggs or mud on them!)

Once you find a variety of beautiful Autumn leaves, you can simply put a solid colored tablecloth on the table, cover it with leaves in a pleasing pattern and then top the whole thing off with a clear plastic tablecloth. Easy, cheap and gorgeous.

(To make this idea even more budget friendly, you can use the two tablecloths over and over again with different items in between them. Rose petals on Valentine’s Day, Christmas cards at Christmastime, etc.)
