Batteries can be pretty useful. However, when their power and energy is drained out of them, what should you do to them? Just throw them in the nearest trash bin and forget all about ‘em?
Well, experts are saying that used batteries are pretty harmful to the environment that is why it is important that we follow the proper procedures when disposing them. When the battery runs out of juice, make sure that you remove it from whatever gadget it has been used with lest it leaks.
Do not store your batteries in one huge collection. Do you know that when these used batteries bang against each other there are chances that they could ignite and cause quite a catastrophe? Keep in mind that when you have used up the power of a battery, bring them to the nearest recycling shop in your area.
And yeah, don’t forget that it is better if you used rechargeable batteries rather than the disposable ones. See, that means lesser used batteries in our garbage.
