using metallic threads

I love the look of metallic sewing machine thread on fabric (whether it’s clothing, art work or something)  I’ve made quite a few pieces over the years using different metallic threads:

I’ve used gold thread to outline the flowers -it really emphasizes the flowers, especially on such a busy background.

I’m going to share a few tips & tricks I’ve picked up to help in working with metallic threads.
