Using Snippets of Conversations as Journaling

January 30, 2006 by Christine Gooding

Having trouble with what to write to accompany your scrapbook layouts? Why don’t you jot down snippets of your conversation in your notebook — this can be used as future journalling entries for your scrapbook layouts.

Or even those quotable quotes from your loved ones can be used as titles for your journalling — my husband says a lot of things that I want to remember for a long, long time. What I do is note them down in my notebook and pull these out for photos that could match them in my future scrapbook layouts. Same goes for conversations I have with my daughter that I want to remember for a long, long time to come. These notes come in handy for future journalling needs.

  1. This is a great idea for small kids. A great Mother’s/Father’s Day layout would include an interview with your 3-5 year old. Ask questions like, “How old is daddy?” or “How much does mommy weigh?” The answers are priceless!
