Veggie links for 18-Oct-2006: resources for vegetarians

The following links are a few vegetarian-oriented sites that I have found interesting and useful for one reason or another. Enjoy!

  • The Vegetarian Times website is full of interesting articles, yummy recipes, and other resources for veggies and the veggie-curious. Its tone is friendly and inclusive rather than dogmatic and activist. The recipes are easily searchable by keyword or ingredient, and you get access to all the magazine’s archives. This article outlines the many reasons why going vegetarian is a good idea. What are you waiting for?
  • Although not as elegantly presented, VegWeb also offers some in-depth content, such as recipes, product reviews, and eco-tips. It boasts over 6,000 vegan recipes, and also includes a tab for VegFriends, the only online vegetarian dating service I’ve ever seen.
  • The site of the Vegetarian Resource Group offers nutritional information, travel guides, and family-friendly resources, among other things. Find out your veggie rank by playing the vegetarian game (I’m an Intermediate Vegetarian).
