Venison Recipes

My brother-in-law is a hunter and my sister never needs to buy any meat.  They usually have a freezer full of venison that lasts them the year.

I never knew what I would think about venison, but recently my sister had to move and they had to give away a bunch of their meat, so I was going to find out.

We were given a couple of loins and we discovered that a very tasty dish was slicing up the loin in about 1″ pieces, marinating them overnight in a BBQ marinade, wrapping them up with bacon and grill.  They were really good.

I was at a bit of a disadvantage for what to do with the other cuts of meat we received.  The only thing I knew about venison was that it was very lean, so it could dry up easily and sometimes can taste gamey.
