Video: Surgery on the baby – before it’s born

It’s a parent’s worst nightmare. An ultrasound showing that there’s a problem with their baby. They have had no indication and only found out while the test was being done.

Sadly, there are times when these things can’t be helped, but now – thanks to advanced surgical techniques – there are times when surgery can be done, even if the baby is still in the uterus.

Here is an interesting video that describes how one baby’s life was saved by prenatal surgery. He’s a cutie!
