Americans do this every day: they go see doctors or other healthcare professionals and they sign a paper that usually contains the words: “I authorize the release of any medical or other information necessary to process this claim.”
The thing is, many people don’t know they’ve signed that because it’s part of the fine print, which few people actually read.
This video has two healthcare attorneys who help answer questions, such as “What are you releasing, and to whom?”
