I love vintage molds and have collected quite a few Easter related ones. This nest mold is one of my favorites.

The molds were originally used to make chocolates for Easter baskets, but most of them are quite pretty and make lovely decorations. Since I am not sure how they were used previously, I don’t make chocolates with them. However, that doesn’t mean I don’t use them at all.

I enjoy using vintage molds to make papier mache ornaments. You can also use paper clay, plaster, or soap in vintage molds.

Of course, if you’re lucky enough to know your molds’ pedigree, chocolates should still be okay. Grandma’s molds from when she owned the candy store? I think you can risk it!
