Vintage Valentine – Homely Cat

Some Valentines are…well, they’re ugly. And age doesn’t really make them any cuter. For some reason, though, I kind of like this particular ugly vintage valentine and it is displayed proudly in my Valentine’s Day corner. (Photos of the corner are coming sometime soon.)

I think what I like about this old valentine is the fact that it is movable. It is neat that something interactive lasted for many years.

If you have a vintage valentine you’d like to share with the other readers here at All Holiday Cafe, please feel free to leave a comment or email me about it. I think old valentines are fascinating and never grow tired of looking at all the novel ideas our ancestors had when it came to expressing their love!

Oh, I’ve been trying so hard not to start a vintage Valentine’s collection! I love them so much, and see them at the antique store all the time.

That cat is so great! Love it to death.

If you display them at Valentine’s Day, they don’t count as a collection. That’s what I tell myself, anyway…
