Visual Delights

Elizabeth Badurina’s Modern Gypsy website might not appear to be about journal writing at first glance.
Once you’ve seen the wonders of her Art Journals your eyes are in for a delight. Take some time to check out her visual journal pages. You’ll come away inspired even if you’ve never kept a visual journal before. Don’t feel overwhelmed if you are only just beginning to keep a journal or a visual journal. Elizabeth simply presents one way to try; her way.
If you’re a seasoned journal writer surfing Elizabeth’s website will awaken a desire to experiment with visual media, if you haven’t done so already. I appreciate how the pages she shares on this website are achievable. This is something I can do, too.
I hope you feel the urge to play a while with visual tools in your journal. Take some time to check out the rest of her site, too, using the site map. There’s something for everyone, there, even though it appears Elizabeth hasn’t updated the website in some time.

Wonderful site! Yes, she needs to add more though. I’m very into the idea of combining visual and text to create a message, one reason I enjoy altered books and art journals so much.
There’ll be a brand new site (all of the old, updated, and more new stuff) in 2006.
Thanks for the update Eliza. I’ll make sure to report it here for my regular readers as soon as I see the changes and new stuff happening.
Can you tell us more about Elizabeth and whether her new site is up yet. I absolutely love her logo that shows in the upper left corner. And some of the journal pages are just gorgeous. All are thought-provoking. Thank you.
Hi Eileen,
I’ve been over to her website today and seems a lot isn’t really showing, for me at least. I’ll see what I can find out. Thanks for asking.
