Volvo is known as a car maker that provides the auto industry with vehicles that hold tons of the best safety features one could create. However, this is not the only thing that Volvo is working on.
If you would remember, the brand has also added an aim: to help out in making the environment greener and less polluted. For example, in the year 2006, they have worked on new fuel technologies that would allow vehicles to produce and emit lesser emissions. They have been working on vehicles that would carry bio-ethanol engines and hybrid technology. They also have been developing diesel engines that come with particulate filters so as to produce lesser toxic waste.
Examples of vehicles that come with these fuel technologies include the Volvo FlexiFuel units as well as the Volvo S40, C30, and V50. The FlexiFuel ones have 80% lesser emissions of CO2. As per the last three models, these can run on bio-ethanol E85.
