Celebrate Children’s Book Day seems planned at a perfect place…Washington Irving’s home, Sunnyside, in Tarrytown, NY, on Sunday, September 28, from 11-5.
I remember a field trip to Sunnyside when I was in 6th grade. (I won’t tell you how many years ago that was…except to say I’m a grandmother now.) What fun we had! Washington Irving and his work have always been memorable because of visiting Sunnyside.
There will be more than 60 authors and illustrators will attending this family event, which includes book signings, demonstrations, characters, music. You’ll also receive tours of
Washington Irving’s historic home.
