Watching Movies at Home

The home entertainment business doesn’t seem to suffer during a recession, at least not this one. Netflix saw its quarterly profit rise 45% earlier this year.
But how is everyone choosing which movies to rent?
Services like Netflix display movie reviews from subscribers, and they also offer movie suggestions to you based on past choices.
However, my favorite choice for movie reviews is Rotten Tomatoes. I’ve used the site for several years now, and it has never misguided me!
Ratings at Rotten Tomatoes are simple: Fresh or Rotten! To receive an overall rating of Fresh, the reading on the Tomatometer for that movie must be at least 60% positive. Movies that are Certified Fresh have a Tomatometer of 75% or better and at least 40 reviews.
If you want, you may also spend time reading some critic reviews. The site isn’t open to just anyone to post reviews. You’ll see reviews from Approved Tomatometer Critics (usually professionals), all compiled in one place.
How do you chose movies to watch?

Check out what others are saying about this post...[...] Rotten Tomatoes review site has given the film a Certified Fresh rating, so it’s one to watch in my book. [...]
