Watermelon innovation

I’m sure you’ve all heard about the cube shaped watermelons that were developed in Japan supposedly to help in transport and storage rather than their old-school spherical ancestors.  Well now some bright spark has invented the triangular watermelon but I am yet to understand why.  Sure it is cool and novel but is it worth paying for?  See the pictures here
