Ways to Get Slimmer This Week

I’m always intrigued by “tricks” that are supposed to make you healthier or slimmer. This article on “One week to a slimmer you” caught my attention. The only trouble is, I’m not so sure about some of the advice in it.

The very first suggestion on this list is to snap before and after photos of your food. We’ve talked about this one before here and I have to say it just sounds too darn obsessive. I mean, really… like a person is actually going to do that for every meal. And if they DO eat less, does that necessarily mean that a permanent change has happened?
Anyway, the second “hint” is to take a multivitamin a day. Researchers say that “people who take one tend to weigh less and have lower BMIs.”
I have a theory on this, of course, and that is that people who take vitamins are probably also looking out for the way they eat and exercising.
Speaking of which, how about eating a little bit less and moving? Getting out for a walk three times a week coupled with watching those huge portions we all seem to have these days? Wonder if that would help lose a few pounds?
