Wearing Irreverent Breast Cancer T-shirts

There are many brands of “pink ribbon” t-shirts on the market … but few of them resonate with younger men and women, teens and twenty-somethings, most of whom haven’t been touched by breast cancer yet.
Quite frankly, those young guns are in need of a breast cancer awareness boost — awareness about early detection, awareness about treatment and survivorship, awareness of the seriousness of the cause. (Without ramming seriousness down their throats, of course. Marketing to that demographic requires a little irreverence.)
I myself sport a ‘Save the Ta-tas’ t-shirt from time to time (yes, that’s me in that photo!). If you’re interested in in putting one a t-shirt for the cause and reaching a younger generation, here are a few links my favorites irreverent t-shirt for the cause:
You can order:
- A Save the Ta-tas shirt like mine the website says they’ve donated $179,000 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation to date.
- A Charitees t-shirt from The Ryde, sporting all the names for breasts the artist could think of — he was the winner of their design contest, the one I posted about in April — proceeds benefiting Boarding for Breast Cancer.
- A Feel Your Boobies tee: Profits from merchandise sales and donations made to the Feel Your Boobies® Foundation are used to fund their annual Boobies Awareness Campaign.
- A Save 2nd Base t-shirt — 50% of their profits benefit the Kelly Rooney Foundation.

Just wondering if you had ever seen my website? My tee shirts are really cute and fashionable. The younger women love the fitted cut tee. Also, some of your readers might be interested in submitting a recipe and story to my up and comming book “Around My Table” Thanks, Lisa Burton
