In Creating Keepsakes’ latest edition, Nicole LaRue provided 3 wedding designs that you can download…for FREE….HERE and HERE.

Nicole’s tips are:

Tip 1
Limit the number of fonts. I generally use no more than two, and I select type for both its readability and the way it makes me feel.

Tip 2
Select a simple color palette. I generally pair a monochromatic scheme with white, which creates a classic feeling.

Tip 3
Create unity by using the same design element or shape throughout the ensemble.

BLUE WEDDING ENSEMBLE

Print the Invitations
1. Select invitation, RSVP card and envelope size. (Keep postal regulations and mailing costs in mind.)
2. Use the template or your own design and add text to the invitation and RSVP card.
3. Print the invitations, RSVP cards, directional map and other items on cardstock and cut them out.

Customize the Cigar Bands
1. Use the template or your own design and add text or other graphic elements.
2. Print the bands on cardstock and cut them out.

Put It Together
1. Stack invitation, RSVP card, engagement photo, directional map or other items.
2. Wrap cigar band around the stack, identifying fold marks.
3. Use a scoring tool to score the cigar band, then wrap around stack.
4. Use double-sided tape to adhere the cigar-band ends together.

Finish with the Envelope Seal
1. Use the template [hyperlink to seal template] or create your own design and add text or other graphic elements.
2. Print seals on full, adhesive-backed sheets like those from Avery.

Thank-You Gift
1. Identify size of package you want to use. I used a small CD case (www.effectuality.com) that stands when open.
2. Use your computer to size photos and add quotes if desired.
3. Print out photos and other messages if desired.
4. Use cigar band template. Or create your own design and add text or other graphic elements.
5. Print cigar band on cardstock, score and wrap around closed CD case.

Thank-You Cards
1. Select thank-you card and envelope size. (Keep postal regulations and mailing costs in mind.)
2. Use card template or create your own design and add text or other graphic elements.
3. Print card on cardstock, score and fold in half.
4. Use envelope-liner template or create your own design and line envelope if desired.

Wine Labels
1. Use wine-label template, or create your own design and add text or other graphic elements.
2. Print on cardstock, cut shape and adhere to wine bottle.

CORAL WEDDING ENSEMBLE

Booklet Invites
1. Select invitation, RSVP card and envelope size. (Keep postal regulations and mailing costs in mind).
2. Use template or your own design. Add text to the invitation and RSVP card, map or other items.
3. Print items on cardstock and cut to size.
4. Personalize invitation cover (and inside pages if desired) by sewing free-flowing designs.
5. Assemble cover and inner pages and sew along left border, creating a book that can be opened and closed.
6. Make and add an envelope liner to each envelope if desired.

Wedding Favors
1. Cut a square piece of cardstock (approximately 6″ x 6″).
2. Roll cardstock into a cone and adhere with double-sided tape.
3. Trim open end so the paper is lined up.
4. Fill with paper flowers, chocolates or goodies.
5. Use tissue paper to cover the cone, repeating steps 1�2.
6. Tie open end with string or ribbon and trim the ends of the tissue to your desired length.

Thank-you Gift
1. Identify size of package you want to use. I used a small organza bag to hold my thank-you gift.
2. Use a computer to size photos to fit in matchbook cover.
3. Print out photos and other messages, then place in a stack.
4. Use matchbook template or create your own design and add text or other graphic elements.
5. Print matchbooks on cardstock and score where indicated on template.
6. Wrap matchbook around photos, stapling one end of the matchbook and photos as shown in the photo.
7. Place completed gift in bag if desired.

GREEN WEDDING ENSEMBLE

Invitation
1. Select invitation, RSVP card and envelope size. (Keep postal regulations and mailing costs in mind.)
2. Use template or your own design and add text to the invitation and RSVP card, map or other items.
3. Print items on cardstock and cut to size.
4. Stack invitation and photo packet and wrap with ribbon tied in a bow.
5. Make and add an envelope liner to each envelope if desired.
6. Use return-address template or your own design and add text.
7. Print return-address on text-weight paper and attach to envelopes.

Wedding Favors
1. Identify size of package you want to use. I used clear, plastic pillow boxes to hold mints.
2. Use tag template [hyperlink to tag template] or your own design. Personalize if desired.
3. Print tags on cardstock and cut to size.
4. Attach tag to pillow boxes with thread or narrow ribbon.

Place Cards
1. Use place-card template or your own design and add text.
2. Print on cardstock and cut to size.
3. Score along score line and fold in half.
