Wednesday musings

Every so often, I sit back and take stock of my blogging, writing, and life in general. I received an email the other day from a friend who I’d not spoken with or emailed with for a few years now. It was one of those things that I’d let my end of the friendship slow down and then I became busy, followed by becoming embarrassed at letting so long a time pass by and then, whenever I thought of her, I’d feel really bad so I made it worse by not doing anything. How odd we can be with ourselves sometimes, isn’t it? Kathy has been living with chronic pain for many years now so I’m sure she’ll have some good insight for us if she wants to share it.

Well, she contacted me – and I’m very pleased she did. Hopefully, I’ll be more attentive this time around.  A similar thing happened a few months ago when “Suzy Q” emailed me. I’d known her for a while but I’d not chatted with her for quite some time and it was really a delight to see her name in my email box.

My wisdom teeth experience is just about over. It really wasn’t as bad as I had been led to believe it might be. A few people did tell me that I was worrying too much, but from what I have seen and what I’ve heard, I took the approach of hope for the best but anticipate the worst. I’m still a bit sore and over did it in the chewing department today, but all in all, my root canal in December was worse!

Many people are reading HMH and I love it that I’m providing information that people are finding useful. If I had one wish though – it’s that you would all be a bit more vocal.
