Weekend Linky Love

Are you looking for ways to relate to and understand your tween or teenager? I ran across several posts this week I think may help you out.

More4kids has the top five tips for talking to your teens. If you’re looking for great advice on communicating (and being heard) with your teenager, this is it.

Barbara Desmarais talks about how to gain respect from your teen at Momference.

Over at Leona Fuchs a teenager tells us what teens wish parents knew. It’s a very good read.

LindaBudz over at Just Like The Nut got some insight in to the mind of tween boys when she chaperoned a ski trip. Having two teenage boys myself, I concur with her scientific research.

Crosswalks (a religious site) has a great article on cutting. When I was a teen I went through a period where I was a cutter. It’s likely more common than you think. This article explains exactly what a cutter is, why kids do it and how to help them. It’s a must read for any parent of a cutter.

Kick up your slippered feet, warm up in front of the fireplace and surf the web.
