Weird Gadget – Solar Powered Rodent Repeller

I’ve seen some weird gadgets before but this one is worth mentioning here at unplugged living because it is under our turf.

This one is a solar powered mole and rodent repeller.    Yup, they’re making solar powered ones as well.

The Solar Moler uses harmless sonic soundwaves to fool the rodent into believing that there is danger, causing them to flee the area of vibrations. The sound generated by the Solar Moler every 30 seconds will be sufficient to cover 7000 Square Feet.

That’s a pretty large area for such a gadget.

So what happens at night when the sun is gone you might ask.  Well,  the Solar Molar stores energy to a  rechargable battery which operates the unit at night.   The batteries can run the unit for a full 48 hours should there be insufficient sun during those rainy days.

This costs about $5.00   Quite cheap won’t you agree?
