What Have You Learnt From Women?

While reading other entries left by fellow bloggers in this Lifestyle Channel I came across an entry on Career & Kids. Cherie Burbach has given a quick review on the book: Everything I Need to Know I Learned from Other Women. There’s also a chance for you to win this book, which sounds like something we could all read.
The topic got me thinking how true the title of the book is. I’ve been so thankful to learn from the women I’ve known. Not only about motherhood and how to be a better person, but how to write better, listen better, be more creative and even how to keep on journal writing when I didn’t feel like it. I haven’t had a chance to sit and write in my journal today, but when I do it will be to discover just what it is I have learnt from other women.
What about you? Spend some time writing a list of the women who have influenced you and what they have taught you in life. Try to list everything. Even tying your shoelaces or making a great cup of tea qualifies, though I suspect you’ve learnt more valuable lessons from other women, just as I have.
I hope you enjoy this journal writing prompt. Please leave any comments in the section below. Don’t forget to leave a comment on Cherie’s blog, too, to be in the running to win a copy of the book.

I’ve learned so much from other women – especially my auntie and my friends
Hi Cherie,
Thanks for your comment. How wonderful to have such a great auntie and friends. I’m sure you’ve taught them plenty, too.
